आकारैरिंगितैर्गत्या चेष्टया भाषणेन च।

If a person is hit by an arrow or hurt by an axe; he will survive to get better. But if a person is hurt by harsh words, then he will never recover from the anguish.

परस्परं मर्मसु ते पतन्ति
तान् पण्डितो नापसृजेत्परेषु ॥

Words are like arrows falling (shot) off our mouth. One who is hit by that arrow will suffer night and day. Usually people hit other where they are most vulnerable. Wise men will not use such tactics on others since they do not wish to hurt others.

प्रस्तावसदृशं वाक्यं सद्भावसदृशं प्रियम् ।
आत्मशक्तिसमं कोपं यो जानाति स पण्डितः ॥

Being able to talk according to context, liking some thing because of its good nature, to keep anger in one’s limits; he is a wise man who can do the above.
