Who are weak? Those whose mind gets corrupted easily (perhaps due to influence of fate). Those who lose faith in god (who can set right everything) and go the other way. Those who get greedy even for a small portion of material pleasures. Those who will always do the wrong thing. They are the people who are really weak.

The tongue is the reason for many troubles. People get destroyed for the mere reason that it gets attracted towards tasty stuff – just like the fish that take the bait.

- mudrarAkShasa

A man who does not care for the fame of his family, not bothered about his own long term future, his respect – may end up selling his loyalty to a wealthy person for the sake of the body (transient). He will follow only his instructions. He will lose the ability to think for himself and decide what is good for him and what is not. He is not in control of himself.

सुभाषितरत्नसमुच्चय – काक याचकोयोः मध्ये

- subhaShitaratnasamucchaya

When a crow finds food, it calls out for other crows. A beggar does not do the same. He is greedy and wants it all for himself. So, if you compare a crow and a beggar, a crow is better.

- Subhashitaratnasamucchaya

भागवत – काम क्रोध लोभ भय

One must get over lust by teaching one self not to feel the need. By giving up lust, one can give up anger. One will give up greed once he realises that wealth is the source of so many miseries. Fear can be let go by proper understanding of philosophy.
